The game looks great in motion. I do hope there is some more enemy variety – the grunts in that mission didn’t pose any threat.

My problem is that the hits didn’t have any “oomph”, which even One Piece Pirate Warriors 3 did and you weren’t ripping people through their bone in there.

I dunno but it made me just straight up not give a shit about this game.

Loose, non-impact controls where you control the fucking dragonslayer sword is a no sale in my book

It is kind of repetitive in the video. Games like dark souls compensate this by implementing a combat system with some level of depth. And from the video I did not see much depth in gameplay mechanics.

How’s the current show? I haven’t heard good things from fans of the original.

It’s actually pretty good. Some people say it’s bad because it’s a CG animation. But that’s actually better than a power point presentation, like the old series

CG looks terrible, even the motion does. Music is completely out of sync with what the tone should be. Story is cut in many places, and even altered to include new things unnecessarily.

Old anime had good art, but bad animation. Good tone and what was cut generally made sense. It wasn’t perfect, but it was at least pretty good and had some passion put into it.
