Expeditions: Viking is Announced for PC

Developer Logic Artists has revealed their new game in the Expeditions series.

Featured above, the debut teaser trailer for the game, Expeditions: Viking, was revealed. The reveal comes after a blatant tease the developer put out last week, although at the time it wasn’t clear what era/region the sequel would take place.

In comparison to their previous outing, Expeditions: Conquistador, in Vikings you’ll presumably (and as hinted in the trailer) be playing as the historical vikings, as you move toward dominating and challenging other powers in the ancient world.

A release date was not confirmed, but we know that it’s coming out some time next year.

    Aw…

I was hoping for a more creative setting to be honest (like Conquistador’s), since The Banner Saga and countless beat ’em up games and mods have kind of commodified the Viking setting.

Will still get it of course, the first game was phenomenal.

This reminds me, I should grab Expeditions: Conquistador. There are not many games about the Spanish conquistadores out there. c.c

Bruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuh. This game looks great, and I loved conquistador, after the huge let down that the Mount and Blade Viking conquest was I’m in the mood for some good historical viking vidya.
