We’ve learned (via GamesIndustry.biz) that Microsoft Executive Phil Harrison is reportedly parting ways with the company.
GamesIndustry has supposedly learned this through “multiple sources” at this year’s Game Developers Conference, although Microsoft is refusing to confirm his leave.
“I don’t, no. I’m sorry, I don’t think I can say anything about that,” Xbox boss Phil Spencer told Eurogamer when asked today at GDC. When Chris Charla, the director of ID@Xbox, was asked, a Microsoft spokesperson promptly stepped in to say Charla isn’t the person to ask, and that Microsoft doesn’t comment on rumor or speculation.
Harrison became VP of the Interactive Entertainment Business and EMEA head of games at Microsft in 2012, coming from his previous role as representative director of Sony Computer Entertainment, Inc. (SCEI) and Executive Vice President of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE).
We’ll keep you guys posted.
