Fighting game directors Ed Boon and Katsuhiro Harada have been seen posing together for pictures at EVO 2023.
Our official fighting game enthusiast and Niche Gamer correspondent Kyle Johnson has been walking around at the event and bumped into the legendary directors while in line for Tekken 8‘s hands-on demo.
This unexpected crossover of fighting game legends has caught the attention of fans and competitors alike, as the sight of Boon playing Tekken 8 has also sparked speculation about potential collaborations between the Mortal Kombat and Tekken franchises.
EVO participants are speculating whether this appearance hints at a future crossover project or is a friendly gesture of support from Boon to fellow game developers. Whether it’s a sign of a potential collaboration between Mortal Kombat and Tekken or simply a show of camaraderie among game developers, only time will tell.
Harada also posted a picture with Boon on Twitter, further fanning the flames of a potential collaboration.
