Arcana Heart and AquaPazza developer Examu has a new fighting game in development for Japanese arcades, starring the girls from Nitroplus. The spread in Famitsu shows off a few of the characters involved, as well as talks a tiny bit about the game.
The game is set to be out in Japan in 2015, under the title: Nitroplus Blasters: Heroine Infinite Duel. The game will be using a “Select System” in which you’ll pick a partner that will help you out with various assist attacks, similar to Arcana Heart. You can pick two other characters at the start.
The battle system seems to be similar to most recent anime-styled 2D fighters, utilizing double jumps, aerial guards and dashes, and similar moves. The game is currently only set for Japanese arcades, though, so we’ll have to wait and see if there’s news of an eventual console port for us to wait to import.
The currently confirmed characters are:
Playable Characters
- Ain (Phantom Phantom of the Inferno)
- Mohra (Kyuuketsu Senki Vjedogonia)
- Sansei Muramasa (Full Metal Daemon: Muramasa)
- Sonico (SoniComi)
- Saber (Fate/Zero)
Non-Playable Characters
- Supika (Star Mine Girl)
- Natsumi Aibara (Hello, World)
- Dragon (Dra+Koi)
We’ll keep you guys posted.
