• Ex-Xbox VP Mike Ybarra Joins Blizzard Entertainment as Exec VP and GM

    Following his departure from Microsoft and Xbox, former Xbox corporate vice president Mike Ybarra has announced he’s already found a new home – at Blizzard Entertainment.

    Ybarra will start his new role at Blizzard next month as their executive vice president and general manager.


    “I’m very happy to announce I’m joining Blizzard Entertainment as Exec. Vice President and GM starting 11/4 (will be at Blizzcon!),” Ybarra said.

    He added, “We will work with all our energy to serve gamers with incredible content and experiences. I can’t wait to be part of this team.”

    Blizzard has been in hot water since their suspension of pro-Hearthstone player Blitzchung for his support of the Hong Kong protests, and their overall handing of the entire debacle. Fans have been protesting the company, and with BlizzCon around the corner, this will be interesting.
