Sohei Niikawa, the former president of Nippon Ichi Software, has announced the launch of SuperNiche, a company after our own hearts and pledge to gaming.
SuperNiche was established with a “Creators First” management focus so that creators of various backgrounds can freely express their individuality and passion across novels, manga, games, music, video, and so on.
The first project managed by SuperNiche is “Etrange Overlord,” a new novel written by the mysterious novelist Roman Kitayama.
New announcements for the company will be revealed via its official website and on Niikawa’s personal Twitter/X account. Niikawa resigned from Nippon Ichi Software back in 2022 after 20+ years at the company, and has been consulting since.
While the timing of the announcement is suspect as this lands on April Fool’s Day in Japan (April 1st), Niikawa has already commented on this saying the timing fits in nicely with jokes planned for that day – so it seems this is real.
