The lineup for this year’s EVO tournament has been confirmed.
The new roster of games includes expected titles like Tekken 7 and Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition, as well as newly released fighters like Dragon Ball FighterZ and even BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle – the latter of which is launching close to the tournament.
Here’s the full lineup:
- BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle
- Dragon Ball FighterZ (Sunday finals)
- Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2 (Sunday finals)
- Injustice 2
- Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition (Sunday finals)
- Super Smash Bros. 4
- Super Smash Bros. Melee (Sunday finals)
- Tekken 7 (Sunday finals)
Titles that were selected for the Sunday finals will all be presented on the big stage, Titles like BlazBlue: Central Fiction, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and The King of Fighters XIV were selected last year but won’t be returning. Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite wasn’t selected either.
While previous tournaments have had nine games selected, a ninth and final game for this year’s EVO wasn’t confirmed at this time.
EVO also confirmed they’re teaming up with Humble Bundle to help with the Puerto Rico relief effort – further details are coming at the end of this month.
Registration is expected to go up next week. This year’s EVO is set to go down from August 5th to the 8th.
