EVO 2015 Lineup Confirmed, Includes New Super Smash Bros, Tekken 7, and More

super smash bros. 01-20-15-1

We’ve gotten confirmation of this year’s EVO tournament roster of games, and boy is the list quite the doozy.

In total, nine games have been confirmed for the world-class fighting game tournament, most notably the latest Super Smash Bros. on Wii U and the game’s predecessor, Super Smash Bros. Melee.

The remaining lineup of games, Tekken 7 (which is actually playable prior to EVO itself), Mortal Kombat X, Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, Guilty Gear Xrd SIGNKiller Instinct, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, and finally – Ultra Street Fighter IV.

So what do you guys think, is this year’s lineup better than ever? EVO 2015 runs from July 17th to the 19th, in Las Vegas.

Kinda wish they had Street Fighter 3 Third Strike, but I’ll still tune in.

Glad to see Tekken 7 make it, I love my 3D fighters.

Interesting if Tekken7 will be released before that. I would assume that all characters must be playable to the competing players. Is there a rule at EVO that the games have to be publically available?

EVO is dead to me. KOF has always been very enjoyable to watch. It’s a shame it got kicked off.

It’ll only be available in Japanese arcades. Tekken won’t be on consoles before then. Tekken 7 will be playable elsewhere in the world on arcade cabs at select tournaments over the year.

There was no way Nintendo was going to let Melee stay if Smash 4 wasn’t in.

Dead to you? KoF has only been in three Evos.

I thought it was obvious I was exaggerating for comic effect.

Wonder how much Microsoft is paying to keep Killer Instinct in. Don’t know many people that actively play.
