Well, that didn’t take long – it seems that the panic button has been pressed and Saber Interactive’s Evil Dead: The Game will be free for a bit.
The asymmetric online action game will be free from November 17th, 2022 to November 24th, 2022 on the Epic Games Store.
Evil Dead: The Game seems to have suffered a pretty severe player drop, the stats aren’t exact because Epic Games does not allow consultation of such numbers, however we do have Twitch viewers to gauge the game’s success.
It is said that the game sold 500,000 copies during its first week, having 111,000 Twitch viewers on its launch day, as of right now the game has 347 viewers total.
Keeping in mind that adding the game to your account will allow you to keep it forever, your mileage may vary on how many players will be active though.
For the time being, it seems that isometric horror games who want to prosper will have to fight arduous battles – dealing with the chokehold that Dead by Daylight has on the genre.
Evil Dead: The Game is available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X and Series S, Microsoft Windows (Through the Epic Games Store).
