Daybreak Game Company, formerly known as Sony Online Entertainment, has announced a new expansion for EverQuest II.
While details are scant, the news comes via a new prelude event update in the game titled “Against the Elements.” A release is not far off – it’ll launch for the long-running MMORPG sometime in November of this year.
The event sees Norrath overrun with elementals, spreading destruction across the land. It’s up to players to join up with the Freeport’s Academy of Arcane Science and Qeynos’s Concordium, to figure out what caused the elementals to start rampaging.
EverQuest II originally launched back in 2004, and has been operational ever since. A number of content updates and full expansions have been released through the years, including a new expansion almost every year.
