Level-5 has confirmed the release date for Fantasy Life, their 3DS bound, life simulation RPG that has been available in Japan for quite some time now.
Unfortunately for us Americans, they only confirmed the European release date of September 26th. To celebrate, the company revealed an overview trailer to help showcase what the game is all about. A North American release window was previously confirmed for October, but we still don’t have a date for then.
Level-5 shared details for “Link Mode”, which is an online communication tool that you can activate by traveling to the in-game Guild Office in Castele. This enables players to meet up with friends when they’re playing Fantasy Life, while also letting you exchange messages and even tips between each other.
You can also connect with another friend via local wireless, or via online multiplayer to explore the world together. The online multiplayer even has its own chat feature that lets you share messages together.
Lastly, the StreetPass functionality built into Fantasy Life allows for players to bring other players into their world, as citizens. You can make friends with them, and in doing so get items as rewards. You can even get “Snapshots”, which let you take screenshots in game, with the start button.
