Sega has announced (via Famitsu) the female co-star for the next Yakuza game.

Japanese fashion model Eri Kamataki was cast as the co-star alongside new protagonist Ichiban Kasuga. Previously, Eri was one of the ten finalists out of the nearly 1,000 women that auditioned to play the role.

At the event for the announcement, Yakuza series general producer Toshihiro Nagoshi said more details for the game are coming on August 29th.

The new Yakuza title starring Ichiban Kasuga is currently in development for PlayStation 4.
