Epoch Brings Post Apocalyptic Robot Action to Steam

Uppercut Games gave quite an uppercut of their own in the last week by releasing EPOCH onto Steam. The game, originally an app from iOS and Android platforms, has been completely been redesigned for as an arcade PC shooter. Touch screen controls are exchanged for physical input. In addition, the game uses the power of the UNREAL engine, allowing for faster-paced combat and smooth framerates.

Epoch is post-apocalyptic robotic combat game set in the post apocalypse of a ruined, futuristic city. Somehow, machines have malfunctioned, devastating the city’s populace. You are a lone robot, reactivated amidst the ruins. You discover that the leadership, the princess, is missing. Following your programming, you set across a massive, devastated city to find and retrieve the princess.

Epoch became a massive success on portable platforms for its intuitive touch-screens, incredible visuals, and fantastic gameplay. Players would swipe and touch enemies to dish out raw firepower. It made for a mechanic where players needed to remain on their toes and watch their surroundings. The levels were always changing and the enemies would become bigger in numbers and difficulty. The game also added an arena mode where players would face waves upon waves of enemies.

This passed winter Uppercut games also released the sequel, EPOCH 2, which has been another hard-hitting success on iOS and Android platforms. Epoch is now available on Steam for all Steam users.
