Episode 18 and 19 of Shaman King Rescheduled for Olympics

The 18th and 19th episode of the new Shaman King anime have been pushed back to make space for the Olympics.

The rescheduling was announced on the official Twitter page for the anime series. The 18th and 19th episodes will be pushed back two weeks; with the 18th episode premiering on August 12th instead of July 29th.

Originally a manga series by Hiroyuki Takei that began in 1998, Shaman King was popularized abroad thanks to the English publication of Shonen Jump alongside other mainstream titles like Naruto and One PieceShaman King follows Yoh Asakura, a shaman who wants to participate in the Shaman Fight tournament for the privilege of communing with The Great Spirit.

Since the debut of the series, Shaman King has gone on to receive two sequel series, and an anime series that ran from 2001 to 2004 from studio Xebec. In the west the series was released and dubbed 4Licensing Corporation (at the time known as 4Kids Entertainment).
