It’s safe to say that the world has grown tired of the typical first-person shooters. They are tired of saving the world from Nazis and Russians. They are exhausted from staring down the scopes of M-16’s assault rifles and AK-47’s. They have grown weary of bleak futures and ultra-violent bloodbaths. Sure, there are great ones, especially most recently. That’s where DESYNC comes in.
DESYNC is a game that places you in a Tron-like world of enemies, environments, shapes, and colors. Weapons are assembled constructs of diamonds, squares, and rectangles. Enemies are build-ups of rough-cut shapes and sizes. The world around you shines, glows, and moves at a blistering pace. Your weapons discharge rough pixels across mesmerizing landscapes.
The game is meant to test your skills and capabilities in shooters. You will be able to explore new moves and “sync” them into your character for rapid special moves when you need to. There are dozens of moves to discover and acquire, whether through explorations, weapons, or buying with credits. Coupled with a pulsating sound, the game is starting something bold and new, especially on the PC platform.
As of this writing, the game was successfully Greenlit and is currently in Pre-Alpha stages. Follow DESYNC on their Twitter page, as well as their main page, where you. For Steam users, keep an eye on their development process here.
Now, on the other side of the screen, it is time for some real user power.
