Enjoy 18 Minutes of English Gameplay for Corpse Party: Blood Drive

Marvelous Europe has shared a new gameplay video for Corpse Party: Blood Drive.

Featured above, you can view the whopping 18-minute long gameplay video, showcasing some English gameplay for the upcoming PS Vita horror title.

Corpse Party: Blood Drive is launching this Tuesday, October 13th, in North America – followed by sometime later this month in Europe.

    So explain something to me. What the fuck IS Book of Shadows. Someone told me it’s a what if scenario but it’s also canon at the same time and what’s Blood Drive for that matter? Why is Ayumi here? Did they seriously get stuck there again?

    Also what happened to that Corpse Party game taking place in the hospital?

    80% of Book of Shadows is what-if scenarios that are technically hand-waived under the one time travel not-quite-bad-end. The rest is prequel/side story of other characters as well as a prelude for Blood Drive that takes place after the canon end.

    Hospital-based game is Corpse Party 2, which is the same continuity but a different cast of characters.

    The only part that matters between the first game and Blood Drive is the one chapter at the end of BoS. That’s direct canon material and bridges Corpse Party and Blood Drive. Everything else is just exploring characters the first game didn’t use or touch on much.

    Yep, I can tell this isn’t going to be good already.

    Do you need to describe everything in text? Note to self: never do that when developing your own horror game. Takes out all tension.

    I don’t think so, only because the game that was remade for the 3ds(the first one) was made for PC and the psp version was the 2nd in a series of remakes while blood drive afaik was an exclusive from the start

    Its not impossible though

    What concerns me is the loading times. Hopefully there won’t be too many or too long because that could potentially kill the atmosphere.

    Believe it or not, I’ve played the original, and it didn’t fool around describing every minute detail of the bad ends and why they were scary, it gave you enough details to imagine for yourself. Yoshiki wasn’t extrapolating on the texture of the gravel being poured onto him in a Wrong End.

    You know, DIALOGUE and SOUND? Ever heard of those in games?

    The game has even less of an excuse now that it’s in 3D.

    even inthe trailer they clearly showed they were only describing things that they couldnt accomplish on sound and visuals. You look at those visuals andell me with the straight face that they have enough detail to do what you want from them
