The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion remake rumored to launch soon

Oblivion remake

Bethesda’s long-rumored Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion remake has more rumors swirling, this time suggesting it’s real and will launch very soon.

The rumored Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion remake was first mentioned earlier in 2023, only to be officially acknowledged by Microsoft in leaked court documents.

Since then we haven’t heard anything official or concrete, just more rumors that the classic RPG is being rebuilt in Unreal Engine 5, will refine and expand gameplay mechanics, and more. The latest rumor claims the Oblivion remake will actually be revealed soon, and launch soon after that.

Credible insider and leaker NatetheHate went on the record again to say the Oblivion remake will be revealed either this month or next, and a release is apparently set for this summer – sometime before June.

To recap – we know Microsoft had Bethesda officially working on a remake of the beloved open-world RPG, though we don’t know if it’s still in development as that was listed back in 2022 and it was considered a remaster at that time.

Originally released back in 2006 for Windows PC and Xbox 360, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion was generally loved and very influential on the industry. It was ported to PS3 in 2007 but only the Xbox 360 version had achievements (not even the Steam version has them).

As with any rumor – take this with a grain of salt. We’ll report on an official reveal if Microsoft actually reveals it later.
