Publisher Bandai Namco and developer FromSoftware announced a newly released Elden Ring update fixes PS5 autosave glitch, among other fixes.
While the new Elden Ring update fixes PS5 autosave glitch as we covered in our previous report, it now allows “changes to save game progression even when the game is not terminated” on the latest Sony console.
Prior to today’s new 1.02.2 update players on PlayStation 5 were told to “save manually by exiting the game regularly,” just to avoid ongoing issues with the console’s rest mode and autosaving not working properly.
The new update also brings with it improvements for the PC performance, where apparently some builds running the game resulted in the graphics card not being used as the default device – resulting in sluggish performance.
The update also addresses a bug that could make the game crash during the battle with the Fire Giant, as well as the usual roundup of bugfixes throughout the game.
Elden Ring is available now across Windows PC (via Steam), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. In case you missed it, you can find our thorough and spoiler-free review and video review for Elden Ring here.
