An officially licensed Elden Ring manga titled Elden Ring: The Road to the Erdtree has been announced. Rather than a dramatic telling of the game’s story, this upcoming manga series appears to be a tongue-in-cheek parody, complete with a sarcastic Melina.
The series is published by Comic Walker and features art from Nikiichi Tobita who’s largely known for his original gag manga The Whimsical Cursed Sword. Combining a gritty fantasy art style with absurd and slapstick humor is Tobita’s forte and Elden Ring: The Road to the Erdtree makes full use of their talents.
Elden Ring is the latest game from FromSoftware which released earlier this year and has shipped over 16 million copies. Players take on the role of a nameless Tarnished on a quest to become Elden Lord, a consort of the gods.
