After months of speculation, FromSoftware and Bandai Namco have officially confirmed when Elden Ring is coming to Nintendo Switch 2.
Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition launches on August 28, 2026, bringing the award-winning action RPG to Nintendo’s latest console.
This version includes both the original game and the massive Shadow of the Erdtree expansion, giving Switch 2 players the complete experience from day one.
However, that’s not all. The Tarnished Edition also introduces two new starting classes, additional armor sets, and fresh customization options for Torrent.
The good news is that existing players won’t miss out. Those extra additions will also be released as a separate Tarnished Pack DLC on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC platforms.
Originally planned for an earlier launch, the Switch 2 version was reportedly delayed to allow for additional optimization. The extra development time appears to have paid off, with reports suggesting stable performance and smooth gameplay in handheld mode.
