Elden Ring Graphical Specs Released; Raytracing Via Future Patch on PC and Next-Gen Consoles

Bandai Namco have released the graphical specs for Elden Ring, along with how the game will support raytracing via a future patch.

As previously reported, Elden Ring will support graphics and performance modes on next-gen consoles, along with free upgrades. Crossplay would also only be available between PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5; and Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.


As reported by Famitsu (citing a page on the Bandai Namco Europe website) the game will support Raytracing on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. This however will not be available at launch, but after a future patch.

Maximum Resolution: Up to 3840x2160P
Framerate: Up to 60 FPS
HDR: Supported
Rayracing (via patch): Supported

PlayStation 4

Maximum Resolution: Up to 1920x1080p
Framerate: Up to 30 FPS
HDR: Supported

PlayStation 4 Pro

Maximum Resolution: Up to 3200x1800p
Framerate: Up to 30 FPS
HDR: Supported

PlayStation 4 Pro

Maximum Resolution: Up to 3200x1800p
Framerate: Up to 30 FPS
HDR: Supported

PlayStation 5

Maximum Resolution: Up to 3840x2160p
Framerate: Up to 60 FPS
HDR: Supported
Rayracing (via patch): Supported

The PS4 version can be ported to PS5 and the save data can be transferred to the newest generation. However, the PS5 version cannot be ported to PS4. If you port your P54 game to PS5 and continue to play, your saves files cannot be transferred back to PS4.

Full cross-generation compatibility. The game can be ported between both generations and save data can be transferred.

Elden Ring was delayed, and launches February 25th, 2022 on Windows PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
