After the tragic death of Suikoden creator and Eiyuden Chronicle director earlier this year, fans were unsure if a sequel was possible. Now, the developer has confirmed a Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes sequel is happening.
When asked if Murayama’s tragic death would affect the possibility of a sequel, Rabbit & Bear Studios confirmed they’re moving on with another game to carry on his legacy.
“We are moving forward with a sequel,” the studio said. “It is very sad that Murayama is not with us anymore, but we have discussed many things with him. I hope we will be able to carry on Murayama’s legacy, and I always want to treasure his last work. I hope many people will support this game.”
Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is set to launch on April 23rd, 2024 across Windows PC (via Steam), Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
