Eidolon Bahamut Fights Dragon Shinryu in New Final Fantasy Type-0 HD Gameplay

Square Enix have dedicated the latest Active Time Report to showcasing more of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD‘s combat, and the Collector’s Edition of the game. You can watch the video above.

In the battle footage, we get to see Class Zero go up against Shinryu, a recurring dragon character that has appeared throughout Final Fantasy‘s titles.

In Final Fantasy Type-0 HD, players assume direct control of summons. The whole of the player’s team, including reserves, end up dying in this example, which leads to the Bahamut making an appearance, which means we get to see the player use the Eidolon to dispatch Shinryu. As the battle wears on, we get to see Bahamut’s signature Mega Flare, and the spectacular, ultimate form of the Mega Flare, called Terra Flare.

Later on in the stream, we’re also given a look at the Collector’s Edition of the game via a live unboxing.

It’s less than two weeks until Final Fantasy Type-0 HD releases in the West. The game is due for Xbox One and Playstation home consoles in North America and Europe, on March 17 and 20, respectively.

There are plenty of other Type-0 HD videos, including some of gameplay, in our archives, so check those out, too, if you’re interested.
