Dear Villagers and developer Midgar Studio have announced the launch of the final chapter before the full release of Edge of Eternity.

As previously reported, the open world RPG is currently in Early Access, and set in the world of Heryon. Beset by alien invasion, humanity fought back with magic and technology. The aliens then unleashed the Corrosion, a disease that turned living creatures into mutant creatures.

Players join the fight as soldier Daryon in an eight chapter quest (5 currently available in addition to Chapter 0). Solve quests in numerous possible ways, craft items, and use skills to beat down bosses and drive back the invasion.

As stated in the press release; Chapter 6, The God’s Herald, will launch today. This also marks the final major update before the game fully launches.

Chapter 6 will include over 45 hours of playtime, 3 news areas, a new playable character, new cutscenes, new special attacks for Daryon and Ysoris, general polish and fixes, and more. You can find more details via Steam.
