Konami’s third-person action RPG based on Hiro Mashima’s Edens Zero franchise is still in development – news confirmed long after its announcement.
While Konami’s smartphone title Edens Zero Pocket Galaxy was released within Japan back in 2022, the console game version of the project hasn’t been released – or talked about since its reveal back in 2020. Now we’ve learned the game is still alive.
The game was showcased in a new Japanese magazine (via ryokutya2089), confirming it’s still in development and has new screenshots with X, Y, and Right Trigger and Right Bumper buttons, a common configuration for in-development games.
The magazine also shared some tidbits on the game:
- Relive the original story
- Experience immersive battles
- The game’s genre is a 3D action RPG
- Explore and adventure on various planets
- Explore the open world of Blue Garden
As mentioned Edens Zero is created by Fairy Tail creator Hiro Mashima and ran from June 2018 through June of this year, reaching its conclusion over thirty-two volumes. It has ben adapted into an anime series by J.C.Staff from April 2021 through October 2023 in two seasons.
