Team Pixpil’s stunningly animated and charming Eastward received two prizes at this year’s IndiePlay China.

IndiePlay China is a Chinese Game Awards ceremony hosted yearly since 2015, organized by the China Indie Game Alliance. The game was nominated for Best Sound Effects, Best Visual Effects, and the notorious Best Game Award, taking the latter two of those home this year.

Eastward is Pixpil’s first game and has received critical acclaim from multiple sources due to its well written story, nice soundtrack and beautiful pixel art, being praised by numerous news sites, including Niche Gamer.
