D3 Publisher and developer Yuke’s have shared the first teaser trailer for Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2, their recently announced sequel.

Summary
Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2 is a sequel which depicts the story of Square Earth after its release in 2022.
It inadvertently introduces elements from “Earth Defense Forces 6,” the latest numbered game released in 2022, It also features “Wing Diver the Shooter,” which was inadvertently omitted from the previous title. This latest title is filled with more love for the EDF series and love for the Earth than ever before.
Over 100 EDF Brothers and over 100 missions are included. Team battles in which four players go out in pairs and other little tidbits that will make fans of the series grin are also still present.
A new assassin has brought about an unprecedented crisis that will once again tear the earth apart, EDF brothers from all over the world reunite. In order to restore peace to the square Earth, we, EDF, will go out beyond the boundaries and fences of our works to make an emergency mission.
The Story
EDF has always fought threats from outer space. That is why we have always kept our eyes on the sky and remained vigilant. But a new threat has emerged from within the Earth. Its name is Gaiark.
The giant suddenly appeared and tore the earth apart once again! But rest assured. We are prepared. EDF has regrouped for such an occasion. Now, Commander, your team will join us. Together, we can save the planet once again!

Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2 is launching for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 (via Famitsu). A release date wasn’t announced.
