D3 Publisher and developer Sandlot announced the Earth Defense Force 6 release date is set for August 2022 in Japan.

The Earth Defense Force 6 release date is set for August 25th on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 in Japan, via both the PlayStation Store and at retail – news confirmed during the game’s latest livestream.

D3 Publisher is offering a standard edition, as well as a Digital Deluxe Edition, the latter of which includes the game, a Season Pass, and various other goodies. Pre-orders are kicking off on the PlayStation Store on April 30th and include a discounted price.

First-run copies of Earth Defense Force 6 also come with in-game decoys based on popular hololive VTubers Shirakami Fubuki, Nakiri Ayame, and Ookami Mio.

While the Earth Defense Force 6 release date is set, the game was previously delayed to 2022, alongside confirming the game is releasing for both PS4 and PS5. A western release hasn’t been confirmed yet.
