D3 Publisher has announced Earth Defense Force 6 is delayed to 2022, alongside confirming the game is releasing for both PS4 and PS5.

The news that Earth Defense Force 6 is delayed to 2022 was confirmed in the latest Famitsu (via Ryokutya2089). The new 2022 release on both PS4 and PS5 is only for Japan, as a western release hasn’t been confirmed yet.

The new release window and delay makes sense as D3 Publisher producer Nobuyuki Okajima previously said Earth Defense Force 6 would release by “the end of 2021 at the earliest,” while also suggesting fans enjoy the latest game in the franchise – Earth Defense Force: World Brothers.
