EA reportedly cancels unannounced Titanfall single-player game

Titanfall as a franchise has struggled. While the games have been well received, sales figures have been a bit more disappointing for various reasons.

Of course Apex Legends has been successful as something that was developed as part of the franchise, though players have hoped to be able to return to the mech combat that was in the mainline series.

Unfortunately for those hoping for a new game, it appears that one won’t be coming. A new report (via Bloomberg) claims a secret Titanfall single-player project has been canceled before it was even announced.

This cancelation seems related to EA’s recent financial troubles, according to sources close to the matter.

Previously, Electronic Arts also canceled mobile versions of Apex Legends and Battlefield as well as delaying their upcoming Star Wars game.

Fans of Titanfall will most undoubtedly be disappointed in hearing this news, assuming that not only was there even a game in the works, but that it has also now been canceled.
