EA Planning to Remaster Command & Conquer Games, Wants Fans to Help Shape Future of Franchise

We’ve learned Electronic Arts is looking to carry on the torch for the beloved Command & Conquer series in a more traditional way, following their mostly negatively-received mobile spinoff entry Command & Conquer: Rivals.

The news comes from current series producer Jim Vessella, who posted on Reddit that the company “heard you loud and clear: the Command & Conquer community wants to see the franchise return to PC.”

“As a fan of C&C for over 20 years, I couldn’t agree more,” Vessella said. “With that in mind we’ve been exploring some exciting ideas regarding remastering the classic PC games, and already have the ball rolling on our first effort to celebrate the upcoming 25th Year Anniversary.”

Lastly, the EA producer said that the company will be talking directly to fans to help shape the very future of Command & Conquer, which probably starts with simply which games to remaster.

It’s worth pointing out Vessella worked on Command & Conquer 3, Red Alert 3, and Kane’s Wrath.

What Command & Conquer games would you like to see remastered? Would you also like to see a new entry in the series? Sound off in the comments below!
