Electronic Arts (EA) have hinted at upcoming announcements in their financial results; including an “EA HD title,” and more.
EA financial results for Q4 2020 [1, 2, 3] also include Earning Slides for the same period. On page 6, the announced titles for financial year 2021 are shown (Burnout Paradise Remastered, Command & Conquer Remastered, FIFA 21, Madden NFL 21, and NHL 21).
The bottom of the page includes the following notes:
- “We expect to announce additional title releases in FY21 over the coming months, including an unannounced EA SPORTS title, an additional EA HD title, four EA Partners titles and two mobile soft-launches.
- In addition to our unannounced FY21 releases, we will see platform expansions for our current EA titles, plus the release of our previously announced Medal of Honor VR title in partnership with Oculus”
Financial Year 2021 will end March 31st 2021 for EA. The focus on HD considering almost all titles are HD would seem to imply that EA will be remastering, remaking, or porting an older title.
The EA Play Live presentation is set for June 11th. We may see some of these titles announced here. What do you think (or hope) these upcoming titles could be? Sound off in the comments below!
