Electronic Arts (EA) has brought a number of their previously Origin-exclusive games to Steam, along with a sale.
EA stopped releasing new games on Steam back in 2011, around the release of Battlefield 3. Since then, all major EA releases on PC have been exclusive to the company’s Origin platform.
This finally changed late last year with the release of Jedi: Fallen Order. Command & Conquer Remastered Collection is another new EA title which has released on Steam today. Now that EA has decided to return to Steam, they have brought a slew of newer games to the platform.
These include Dragon Age II, Dragon Age Inquisition, Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville, Crysis 3, Need for Speed (2015), Need for Speed Heat, Need for Speed Rivals, Burnout Paradise Remastered, both Unravel games, Mirror’s Edge Catalyst, Sea of Solitude, and Fe. All of these games, as well as some other popular EA titles, are currently on sale.
Please note that while all of these games are available on Steam, you still have to activate them via Origin, and have the Origin client running to play them.
The EA Access program will also be coming to Steam soon, though no release date or details have been confirmed.
