The Entertainment Software Association has announced the dates for E3 2023, and the show is actually returning to industry-only access.
E3 2023 is set to run from June 13th through the 16th, and will feature separate industry-only and public-access days. The annual gaming expo will return in person after being cancelled for a few years, due to the world shutting down over COVID-19.
From June 13th to the 15th E3 Business Days will run, where only industry personnel and media are allowed to attend. Media will be able to preview games from publishers and developers from around the world in the new industry-only spaces and halls.
E3 Gamer Days will run from June 15th to the 16th in a separate hall from the industry area entirely, where consumers can preview various games from developers from around the world. E3 will have a dedicated theater of content as well, where ticket holders can get a closer look at new games.
As covered in our previous report, E3 2023 is being run by new showrunners ReedPop, who also manage New York Comic-Con, PAX, and more.
“E3 is one of the global gaming industry’s few opportunities to come together, unite as one loud voice, and show the world what it is creating,” said ReedPop VP of Gaming Kyle Marsden-Kish. “Our vision is to reunite the industry by re-establishing the traditional E3 week, bring back that spark, and restore E3’s role as a truly magical global showcase event for game creators and consumers.”
