E3 2017 Gameplay for Star Wars Battlefront 2, Free DLC Announced

Electronic Arts has shared the official gameplay trailer for Star Wars Battlefront II.

Featured above, the new two-minute trailer shows off a variety of battles across a multitude of landscapes.

Alongside the new gameplay comes the announcement that free new content will be released for the game in differently-themed seasons, which will “allow players to continue their hero’s journey in a world that is constantly growing.”

The free content includes a variety of new characters, locations, vehicles, weapons, and more. Players will also be able to take part in live events and challenges, while also obtaining their own unique rewards.

The first season of free DLC will launch in December, a month after the game’s release, and brings with it content based on the upcoming Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Fans can expect stuff like Finn and Captain Phasma as new playable heroes, a new planet known as Crait, a new space map near D’Qar, new rewards, events, and more.

Star Wars Battlefront II is launching across PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on November 17th. A multiplayer beta is coming sometime this fall. If you pre-order the game, you’ll get early access to the beta, as well as instant access to an upgraded “Epic Lightsaber Mastery Star Card” for Yoda.

The free DLC is nice, but I wonder where the catch is.
