Dust: An Elysian Tale Makes its Way to Playstation 4

Get ready for a hell of an adventure! Dust: An Elysian Tale is taking its quest to a new gaming system “very soon.” The news broke out on the PlayStation Blog earlier today, with it’s character “Fidget” taking over the post. Fidget, as well as the entire one-man team at Humble Hearts, are incredibly excited to bring that beautifully crafted and well received classic to Playstation 4 owners.

In this fast, exciting, and easy-to-learn action RPG, players will embark on a mystical fantasy adventure where a lone warrior, Dust, seeks purpose and identity in his life. He comes along an ancient weapon of immense power, famously known as the blade of Ahrah, and with it, Dust becomes a warrior of great power and skill.

The weapon is guarded by an interesting, small guardian named Fidget. Together, their adventure will take them to main quest, side-quest, and even silly quests, one of which involving throwing poison ivy into someone’s laundry.

As for what else to expect from the game, Fidget says is best in the PlayStation.Blog post:

“Now, if you can, imagine all this awesomeness is hand-drawn like an old animated movie from the 80’s and 90’s, but with art at crazy high resomolutions! Like, 1080p! People tell me that’s pretty darn good! Also, 60fps. I’m guessing that’s some sort of speed? Like, the speed of awesome? I don’t know much about these things, though. I mean, look at my hands! I’m not plugging anything into expensive TVs with these ham-hocks.”

The game is said to be heavily inspired by the mesmerizing animations of 80’s and 90’s movies. You’ll also find that coupled with the game’s visual style is an equally incredible audio score. Dust: An Elysian Tale, is being scored by Irish duo Hyperduck Soundworks. A sample of their work is provided below and it’s well worth a listen!

With this game being fully remastered, this is one title that PS4 owners certainly do not want to miss out on.  The game is available on Xbox Live as well as Steam. Check out more on Dust: An Elysian Tale here, and follow the game on their Facebook and Twitter pages.

That’s the power of DUST, baby! Not Pinesol.
