Dune: Part Two sandworm popcorn bucket is real and ready to gape

A viral social media post apparently leaked the official Dune: Part Two popcorn bucket, but the real story is how insane the bucket looks.

The viral post came from YouTuber Cris Parker, which reveals the Dune: Part Two popcorn bucket topped with a giant, gaping sandworm hole.

Most theatrical releases that get a popcorn bucket typically put a simple label on a regular bucket, or resort to weirdly shaped and unusable trinkets.

As with any leak it remained unclear if this was actually real, but it didn’t stop netizens from losing their collective minds. I mean look at this thing:

Finally, several hours later, AMC Theaters posted a video confirming yes – the Dune sandworm popcorn bucket is real and ready to be penetrated and stuffed with whatever you want (hopefully popcorn).

Here’s the video from AMC Theaters confirming the popcorn bucket is actually real:

You read that right – diehard fans of Frank Herbert’s legendary sci-fi novels can finally become one with the sandworm, sticking their body parts into its big hole.

It remains to be seen how expensive the big and mawing Dune: Part Two popcorn bucket will be, however these sorts of exclusive trinkets are usually between $12-16 and are limited due to scalpers.

Dune: Part Two premieres first via international theaters on February 28th, 2024 and on March 1st in North American theaters.
