Drowned God: Conspiracy of the Ages gets surprise illegal release on Steam

Drowned God: Conspiracy of the Ages

Classic 1996 point-and-click title Drowned God: Conspiracy of the Ages has been released on Steam, possibly illegally.

According to a Tumblr post, the game has been published on Steam without consent of Richard Horne’s family.

It is unknown who Greyenscape or SzymCo Publishing are, but it’s hard to believe they have the rights to this property, which leads us to believe that they reuploaded a stolen game to Steam.

Steam’s standards for allowing new games on the platform have been significantly lowered over the last few years, but allowing users to upload a title they don’t have the rights to on the platform is a new low.
