Afterburner Studios have released The Reflection update for their action-roguelite, Dreamscaper.

As previously reported, the game is set within the surreal subconsciousness of a woman named Cassidy. Players dive into Cassidy’s subconscious to explore her dreams, and fight her nightmares. The game is currently in Early Access for Windows PC via Steam. If you missed it, you can find our preview here.

The Reflection update adds a new boss (Negativity) replacing the mini-boss on the fifth floor, and a new character (who Cassidy can befriend for items and Influence upgrades). In addition, the update adds the Enchantment Shop where players can exchange sand for equipment upgrades, reforge modifiers, and destroy unwanted Keepsakes. Secret rooms, new items, and more have also been added.

Finally, the developer “once again” apologized for being unable to provide a loyalty discount for those who purchased the Supporter’s Edition DLC for the free Prologue demo. They state the decision was out of their hands, but to compensate and show their appreciation, they offer two exclusive weapons to the DLC; the Severing Blade and the Gnashty Hammer.
