Dreams Early Access Availability Ends on December 7

Publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment and developer Media Molecule have announced Dreams will no longer be available to purchase through early access this week.

The 2013-announced game has been available through the PlayStation Store since April of this year. After December 7th at 3:59 PM Pacific, the game will no longer be available to purchase.

Owners of the Early Access version will still be able to play the game after the cutoff date, and will get a free upgrade to the full version, whenever it launches.

Anyone who has purchased the Early Access version by this date will still be able to play Dreams after December 8 and upgrade to the full version at no additional cost when it launches.

“At the studio, we’ve been collecting all the feedback, fixing the bugs and working to make the full version of Dreams the best experience for everyone—those who want to play, those who want to create and those who aspire to learn,” Media Molecule communications manager Abbie Heppe said in a PlayStation Blog post. “Some of that work includes adding a non-motion control scheme for the game, helping new players learn to create, more tutorials and how-to content for players of all skill levels, improving existing features like Community Jams, the Homespace and Imp Quests and adding more content, including our first piece of Media Molecule story-telling in Dreams, Art’s Dream. We hope you’re going to love all of it and our Early Access players deserve a huge mega-thanks for joining us on this journey.”

Media Molecule also announced the inaugural IMPY Awards, a Dreams award show celebrating the best creators from the game. You can nominate creators here.
