Lovecraftian fishing horror Dreadmoor launches in Q4 2026

DREADMOOR

One of the more intriguing indie games shown during Day of the Devs was Dreadmoor, an upcoming first-person fishing adventure from newcomer studio Dream Dock.

At first glance, it might remind you of Dredge, but Dreadmoor leans much harder into survival mechanics and horror. Set in a flooded post-apocalyptic world, you explore decaying coastlines, abandoned settlements, caves, and shipwrecks while trying to stay alive in an increasingly hostile environment.

Fishing sits at the center of the experience, but don’t expect a relaxing day on the water. The creatures lurking beneath the surface are often grotesque, dangerous, and deeply unsettling.

Beyond fishing, you will gather resources, craft equipment, upgrade and customize their boats, trade with NPCs, and defend themselves against monsters roaming both land and sea.

The game’s Lovecraft-inspired atmosphere is arguably its biggest selling point. Every trailer so far has been packed with thick fog, eerie waters, and the constant feeling that something terrible is waiting just below the surface.

Dreadmoor is scnow heduled to launch for PC via Steam sometime in Q4 2026.
