Drakengard 3 is an up and coming prequel in the Drakengard series by most of the talented staff behind the original two games and the spinoff NIER. Up until now, Square Enix has been mum on whether or not the game will come westward. Suddenly, a trademark for the game appeared courtesy of Square Enix America, causing many fans to start clamoring about the game getting localized.
Now, Square Enix has confirmed that Drakengard 3 is indeed set for western shores in both the Americas and Europe next year. You can read a snippet of the press release below:
“A prequel to the original Drakengard, Drakengard 3 transports players to a medieval world where six goddess-like sisters known as ‘Intoners’ have brought peace to the earth with their power to manipulate magic through song, Harmony is disrupted, however, when the eldest sister, Zero, attempts to murder her younger sisters with the help of her dragon companion, Mikhail. As the story progresses, players find themselves in a battle to unravel the mystery of Zero and learn her true intentions.”
