Dragon’s Dogma PC Requirements Revealed

If you’re one of the folks hoping to play Capcom’s Playstation 3 RPG Dragon’s Dogma in 60 frames-per-second, you’re in luck, since the requirements for the upcoming PC port have been released and they are, depending on your point of view, surprisingly low.

Minimum Specs:

OS: Windows Vista or newer
Processor: Intel Core i5-660 CPU or equivalent
Memory: 4 GB RAM
Graphics: Radeon HD 5870 or equivalent
DirectX: Version 9.0c
Storage: 22 GB available space
Sound Card: DirectX-compatible sound card or onboard audio chip

Recommended Specs:

OS: Windows Vista or newer
Processor: Intel Core i7-4770K or equivalent
Memory: 8 GB RAM
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 or equivalent
DirectX: Version 9.0c
Storage: 22 GB available space
Sound Card: DirectX-compatible sound card or onboard audio chip

Though we can’t yet know how decently the game will run on minimum specs, the fact that all you need is a 5-series ATI card and an install of Windows Vista to get it up and running is fairly impressive. Seeing a 2-and-a-half year old card (GTX 760) listed as recommended is a good sign too – perhaps suggesting an optimized PC port.

Regardless of your rig’s current age, Capcom has said that not only will the framerate of Dragon’s Dogma be unlocked, but the game will ship with 4K support as well. This, along with full mouse+keyboard support, should satisfy PC gamers when it comes out this upcoming January 15th.
