Dragon’s Crown was Originally Planned for the Dreamcast

Dragons Crown Dreamcast

It’s a well known fact that George Kamitani has been wanting to make Dragon’s Crown for well over ten years. Ok, maybe it’s not well known but still, the art booklet that comes with the game reveals the original character designs for the Sorceress and the Wizard.

These were designed back in 1998 for the Sega Dreamcast, and were originally planned to be 3D models. The female warrior design would eventually be used for Fantasy Earth Zero, a PC game by Square Enix that Kamitani worked on.

Dragon’s Crown launches next month for the PS3 and PS Vita.
