Netflix have announced Dragon Quest Your Story will be coming to their platform.

Produced by Toho, the film was headed by Chief Director Takashi Yamazaki, and Directors Makoto Hanafusa and Ryūichi Yagi. The film is based off Dragon Quest V, and premiered in Japan on August 2nd, 2019. So far the film has made $11.1 million at the box office.

Luca follows in his father’s footsteps to rescue his mother from evil Ladja. Finding the heavenly hero who wields the Zenithian sword is his only hope.

In other news, the author of the Dragon Quest V novel adaptation has sued the film’s producers, claiming they stole some character names from her work.

Dragon Quest Your Story premiers on Netflix on February 13th, and April 3rd on Blu-Ray and DVD in Japan.
