Square Enix has officially confirmed Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree’s Woe and the Blight Below for PC, as well as the game’s release date for the platform.
Fans can pick up the first musou spinoff in the series on December 3rd, via Steam.
You can already find the PC version up for pre-purchase on Steam, and if you pre-purchase the game, you’ll get 13 DLC items that were included in the PlayStation 4 Slime Edition, as well as a 10% discount.

November 19, 2015 at 2:06 pmWell then, here’s hoping the two companies track records with porting to PC doesn’t screw this one up!

November 19, 2015 at 2:12 pmIm hoping Its a good port, but Im not seeing it happen with Koei/Tecmos port track record.

November 19, 2015 at 2:12 pmAny censorship we need to worry about?

November 19, 2015 at 2:14 pmNISA and CapCom were not mentioned, and this is being released by Koei/Tecmo, so Im dure it will have none.

November 19, 2015 at 2:17 pmKnowing K/T’s track record, this port is going to be completely gimped somehow…like when they removed Multiplayer from DW8XLE

November 19, 2015 at 2:28 pmNeither SE or KT have had that good a record with porting. Also shame you can’t set the text language to moon.

November 19, 2015 at 2:35 pmAnother reason to not get a PS4 yet.

November 19, 2015 at 2:36 pmThis game was 60fps on the PS4 so the PC version should be at least 60fps as well.

November 19, 2015 at 2:37 pmNothing to censor beyond giving Alenas DQH outfit her tights back if they don’t care for spats or maybe giving a little nip tuck to one of Jessicas attacks. I’d say Maya has a chance if I didn’t think they’d think it was racist but you shouldn’t have anything to worry about like Bating said, it’s a musou so I doubt Koei will want to spend any more money than they have to while SquareEnix seems to only have script changes for anything but.

November 19, 2015 at 2:44 pmLess than two months between Western console and PC release is much quicker than expected. Also figured the Slime weapon set would remain exclusive to console, but guess not…
45 bucks is a surprisingly decent launch price too; guess Square might finally be getting that they can ask a bit more for games on Steam if they don’t wait too long with releasing them.

November 19, 2015 at 3:35 pmLet’s hope they don’t port the PS3 version, and let’s hope they don’t curiously make the game look worse than the console versions like with Pirate Warriors!

November 19, 2015 at 4:03 pmThat subtitle is a mouthful.
The requirements are a bit odd, they list an i7 870 as minimum, which is still a pretty solid CPU for its age. Its a far cry from the usual core 2 duo/quad, so it doesn’t seem to be just another last gen port.

November 19, 2015 at 4:06 pmI see nothing on the store page about needing to preorder to get the DLC items, they’re part of the Slime Edition which is the only version sold on PC.

November 19, 2015 at 7:54 pmGiven how musou games usually turn out on PC I’m not too bummed that I bought this on PS4. I still hope it’s a good port.
It’d be nice if this led to other Dragon Quest games on PC, though. Maybe some of the ones they ported to iOS/Android? It’d be nice to get an official Western release of the SNES remakes of I-III on something other than phones.

November 19, 2015 at 8:25 pmThose are if they felt like it, both neither have the patience and they don’t have the interest in spending money on changes that aren’t in the PS4 copies. Only thing you have to fear is Alenas horrible dub because it’s very not okay.

November 20, 2015 at 11:00 amIt’s so sad that’s become the de facto expression when it comes to PC ports. So very very sad.

November 20, 2015 at 6:55 pmGoddammit, why did I buy a PS4 again? Next will be Bloodborne

November 21, 2015 at 11:13 pmDefinitely not gonna be a good port.

November 21, 2015 at 11:14 pmI’m hoping for a PC port of Dragon Quest Builders.
