Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot Includes a Dragon Ball Collecting Mechanic

The latest V-Jump (via Ryokutya2089) has confirmed some more details for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot.

The new action RPG has a mechanic that lets you collect the seven Dragon Balls, just like in the anime. Once you collect all seven Dragon Balls, you can summon the dragon Shenron to make a wish. A wish example was given where you can fight a defeated enemy one more time (there can be others, just not confirmed yet).

By fighting an enemy once again, you can create “what if” scenarios by having old enemies fight new heroes, and so on. You can also get Soul Emblems, as well as perks like boosted experience points and attack power. Villains with evil auras can randomly appear on the game field. These enemies are naturally stronger, but you can get big rewards by beating them.

A new key visual for the game was revealed in the magazine, it includes a host of characters like various forms of Buu, the Androids, King Cold, and more.

In case you missed it, you can find our thorough hands-on preview for the game here, straight from this year’s E3!

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is launching January 17th, 2020 for Windows PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
