Well that didn’t take long – Funimation has confirmed a western premiere for the recently confirmed Dragon Ball Super: Broly movie.

The new film, which officially canonizes the Legendary Chad Super Saiyan Broly, will premiere in North American and Canadian theaters in January of next year.

Here’s a high-resolution look at the films poster:

Broly first made his appearance in the Dragon Ball franchise in the Broly Triple Threat movies, which premiered back in 1993 with Dragon Ball Z: Broly – The Legendary Super Saiyan. He later re-appeared for the two sequels, and in a variety of other forms and of course, in video game adaptations.

The latest game in the franchise, Dragon Ball FighterZ, is available now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC, with the Nintendo Switch version launching 28th September, 2018. If you missed our review, you can find it here (we highly recommend it!)
