During the Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2023, Bandai Namco confirmed Dragon Ball FighterZ is finally getting its previously announced rollback netcode.

The news was confirmed via producer Tomoko Hiroki, noting the rollback netcode announced last year would finally be coming in the form of a beta through PC via Steam.

No official release date was given, though it’s highly likely to come just in time for EVO 2023, which is set to begin on August 4, 2023.

Details of the beta test itself are also unknown other than it being only on PC. Though the original announcement also confirmed that ports for the Xbox Series and PlayStation 5 would be coming. So their launch will likely coincide with this upcoming update.

In other news for Dragon Ball video games, Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4 was also announced during this event.

Dragon Ball FighterZ is available now on Windows PC (via GamersGate, and Steam), Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. In case you missed it, you can find our review for the game here (we highly recommend it!).
